Under the Palm

While on vacation in Venice, Florida we stayed in a VRBO with a lush Jungle like backyard.  Looking up into a large Bismark palm, I was fascinated by the radiating pattern of the leaves.  The leaf petioles were split at the base making interesting patterns against the trunk of the palm.  I am always drawn to interesting patterns and textures for my paintings and this tree had both in spades.
