The Big Gulp

Waiting to see the sunset on the jetty at Venice Florida in early evening I observed this snowy egret with a shrimp, that was thrown to him by a young boy when he finished fishing. I followed the egret for about 30 minutes ( taking multiple photos) as he tossed it in the air, dropped it on the ground, and seemed to play with it. I never did see him actually swallow it.  I’m sure when he finally did, it was a ‘Big Gulp’.
