Description of A Little Bit of Sunshine
‘Little Bit of Sunshine’ This colored pencil painting is of the cultivar ‘Toto’ of the native Black-eyed Susan. The flowers were painted for an exhibit by the Florida Society of Botanical Artist at the Celery Fields Audubon center Sarasota Florida. I chose this native plant to paint since it is the first wild flower I remember knowing the name of at age 4 in Niles Michigan. Black-eyed Susans have grown every state I have lived in, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee and now Florida. They are always sunny and Cheerful.
