Stepping Out

This little plant, Streptocarpus, almost jumped into my shopping cart at the nursery. It was love at first sight. Painting it as a Tromp l’oeil makes it ‘step out’ of the mat.

‘Stepping Out’ was accepting in the 2017 CPSA Explore This, and 2017 Light Space and Time Botanical Exhibition, both online International exhibitions. It won 2nd place awards in 2017 in ‘Its Colored Pencil’ in Gainsville, Florida and in The Carrolwood Cultural Center in Tampa, FL..
